Welcome to JAccountable. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of JAccountable’s website, platform, and services (collectively, the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.
1. Description of Service
JAccountable is a platform that tracks and aggregates government accountability stories in Jamaica by monitoring journalistic news sources using AI-powered classification and analysis. The Service provides users with organized access to news articles, reports, and information related to government transparency and accountability.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By using the Service, you represent that you are at least 18 years old or have reached the age of majority in your jurisdiction. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

All such content remains the property of the original copyright holders. JAccountable does not claim ownership of third-party content and provides it for informational and educational purposes only.
4.2 JAccountable Content
All content created by JAccountable, including but not limited to the platform design, software, AI-generated classifications, organization of content, and proprietary features, is owned by JAccountable and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
4.3 User-Generated Content
If you submit feedback, suggestions, or other content to the Service, you grant JAccountable a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and incorporate such content into the Service.
5. AI-Powered Features
The Service uses artificial intelligence to classify, organize, and analyze news content. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated classifications and insights may contain errors or inaccuracies. The Service is provided for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as the sole source of information for important decisions.
6. Editorial Independence
JAccountable is an independent platform and is not affiliated with any political party, government entity, or news organization. We strive to present content objectively and do not endorse any political positions or candidates. The inclusion or exclusion of any content does not constitute an endorsement or political statement by JAccountable.

JAccountable aggregates content from third-party sources and cannot guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of such content. We are not responsible for errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in third-party content. Users should verify information from original sources before relying on it.
8.3 Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, JACCOUNTABLE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Jamaica, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
11.2 Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through good faith negotiations. If the parties cannot resolve the dispute through negotiation, the dispute shall be submitted to the courts of Jamaica, and you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of such courts.
12. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect, and the invalid or unenforceable provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable.
13. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and JAccountable regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings, whether written or oral.
14. No Waiver
The failure of JAccountable to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
